Consortium Programs

Kyoto Consortium for Japanese Studies

Stanford University is a member of the Kyoto Consortium for Japanese Studies (KCJS), a consortium of 14 American universities. Established in September 1989, KCJS sponsors a rigorous, two-semester academic program for undergraduates who wish to do advanced work in Japanese language and cultural studies.

Consortium for Advanced Studies in Barcelona

The Consortium for Advanced Studies in Barcelona (CASB), a collaborative initiative involving eight high caliber U.S. Universities provides students with a unique opportunity to have direct access to four distinguished Spanish universities. Stanford's membership in CASB will allow a limited number of Stanford students to spend a semester or a full year in Barcelona. The program is open to all qualified students who have completed two or more years of college-level Spanish or Catalan language at the time of enrollment. Stanford students may apply for one or two of the ten semester slots supported by the Bing Overseas Studies Program and the Division of Literatures, Cultures, and Languages. Non-Stanford Study Abroad Opportunities

Non-Stanford study abroad programs refer to all short-term or year-long academic programs offered overseas by other U.S. higher education institutions, third-party providers or through direct enrollment in overseas institutions.
