2012 Developmental Cancer Research Awards (DCRAs)
The Stanford Cancer Institute is pleased to announce the availability of grant funds to support the development of Interactive Projects, Population Sciences and/or Translational Research projects.
· Interactive Projects which supports new ideas for program project grants (PPGs) or multi-project grants ($100,000)
· Population Sciences which supports the development of high-quality interdisciplinary research projects in population sciences, specifically in cancer prevention and control and cancer epidemiology ($50,000)
· Translational Research which supports the development of interdisciplinary clinical and translational cancer research projects ($50,000)

Applications Due: Tuesday, May 29, 2012, (by 3:00 p.m.)
Awards Announced: Wednesday, July 11, 2012
Funding available: September 1, 2012 – August 31, 2013
Progress Report Due: Friday, September 28, 2013
FUNDING
The Cancer Institute will fund one Interactive Project and multiple Population Sciences and Translational Research projects. The number of awards will depend upon the quality of the proposals received and the available funding. Funds will be awarded on a competitive basis. Funding will be for a one-year time period, beginning September 1, 2012 through August 31, 2013.
