Backlit Field of Poppies
Found at Stanford University in the field planted by the Wildflower Project on the corner of Bowdoin and Stanford Ave. I like how the sun shines through from the back.

Air Guitar
From above, the secret of SLAC is revealed. It is a huge guitar, strumming particles like waves…

StanfordFall
My colleagues and I took a short break to go on a walk and saw this. December view of trees by the Graduate School of Buisiness. They were so striking with the bed of golden leaves covering the ground.

Stewart
Yup, it’s a bronze Butterfield.
The original driftwood was coated in ceramic and then burned away, leaving a mold for cast bronze.

Stanford street in Fall
Driving to work on a beautiful Fall morning at Stanford. I had to stop the car and take this picture with my cell phone. It was probably around 6:50am and the sun was just hitting the tree tops and the colors were so vibrant that I sat for a moment in awe. This is along Bowdoin street by the Rains houses. Taken November 2008.

Hallowed Halls of Design
d.school opening at Stanford (in May 2010)
The walls can be shuffled about the cavernous spaces.
As Hasso Plattner from SAP strolled through this section he exclaimed "we need to copy this."

Lunar Eclipse and Memorial Church
This is a composite of 5 images made on the occasion of total Lunar Eclipse on December 21, 2010. The sky was partly cloudy and after the total eclipse, it became mostly cloudy, not allowing me any photo of the moon either in the total eclipsed state or coming out of the eclipse. When I planned for the images of the eclipsing moon, I wanted to find something on the earth to match with the mystical (not so in the modern age) phenomenon. The lit church in the night provided the 'Earth Bound' structure. In post processing, I combined the 4 eclipse images with the image of the church using layer masks in Photoshop.
