VPGE has funding available on a competitive basis to support dissertation research expenses on diversity-related topics. NOTE: Research grants are available for research costs directly related to the dissertation for doctoral students whose dissertation topics focus on socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity, gender, work or life experiences.
Applications are accepted twice each year. See the DDRO web page for more information, including annual application deadlines and information sessions for potential applicants.
VPGE has funding available on a competitive basis to support projects and events sponsored by recognized Stanford Voluntary Student Organizations (VSOs). VPGE funds projects to advance graduate student diversity by serving the academic interests of current students and enhancing the quality of their educational experiences.
The application deadlines are November 1, February 1 and April 1 of every year.
Faculty members may request up to $500 to defray the cost of bringing prospective graduate students for campus visits. Applicants may include students of an ethnicity that is underrepresented in an academic field; women who are underrepresented in a field; or people who would be the first members of their family to attend graduate school.
