Graduate Recruitment and Diversity Day (GRAD Diversity Day)

GRAD Diversity Day is a chance for prospective students from diverse backgrounds who have already applied to Stanford to visit campus and decide if Stanford is for them. This is an invitation only event for selected admitted students and promising applicants from Stanford's schools of Humanities & Sciences, Engineering, Earth Sciences and Education.

GRAD Diversity Day will be Friday, March 9, 2012.

We want prospective students to see that Stanford offers a combination of commitment, resources, and community that allow diverse students to thrive. We hope the activities will help prospective students to make an informed choice about graduate school.

The agenda for the day includes:

  • Meetings with faculty of interest to each student
  • Breakfast and lunch with graduate students, faculty and staff
  • Campus tours and special workshops
  • Talk with Stanford university administrators

The highlight of the day is an elegant reception hosted by Provost John Etchemendy and Vice Provost for Graduate Education Patricia Gumport.

While the key events take place on Friday, participants can also stay for the weekend. Additional time on campus allows you to:

  • Tour campus housing
  • Explore the San Francisco Bay Area
