Center Priorities

The Humanities Center's top fundraising priority is to develop a robust International Visitors Program that expands Stanford's participation in international debates and raises the Center's institutional profile on the world stage.

The Humanities Center seeks long-term funding to bring international visitors to campus each year for month-long residencies.
  • Sponsor one international visitor–$20,000[+]
Support the stipend, local housing costs, roundtrip travel from the country of origin, seminars, and other activities associated with residency. Partial funding of $10,000 covers one-half of residency.
  • Name a visitorship for three years–$60,000[+]
Establish a named international visitorship. Each year for three years, an international visitor will carry your name.
  • Endow and name an international visitorship in perpetuity–$400,000[+]
Set up one international visitorship that will carry your name in perpetuity.
  • Endow and name the International Visitors Program–$2.5 million[+]
Sustain four international visitors and program expenses in perpetuity, and the International Visitors Program will carry your name.
