Hillel Jewish Welcome and Engagement Board
JWEB is an innovative relationship network. It is comprised of a group of 5-10 Jewish students who proactively form relationships with other students, creating a web of interconnectedness on campus. They work creatively, with training and weekly support from Hillel at Stanford staff, to help build connections.
What it is:
- networking, connecting to other students
- conversations beyond pleasantries and small talk
- building leadership and social entrepreneurship skills
What it isn’t:
- “getting” Jews in the doors of Hillel
- making Jews more religious
Who you are:
- socially adventurous, energized by meeting new people and hearing their stories
- naturally love grouping people with like interests to each other and opportunities
- someone with lots of friends
Who you aren’t:
- a Jewish scholar or expert
- a Hillel organizer
- a “Super Jew”
