Hillel Jewish Welcome and Engagement Board

JWEB is an innovative relationship network. It is comprised of a group of 5-10 Jewish students who proactively form relationships with other students, creating a web of interconnectedness on campus. They work creatively, with training and weekly support from Hillel at Stanford staff, to help build connections.

What it is:

  • networking, connecting to other students
  • conversations beyond pleasantries and small talk
  • building leadership and social entrepreneurship skills

What it isn’t:

  • “getting” Jews in the doors of Hillel
  • making Jews more religious

Who you are:

  • socially adventurous, energized by meeting new people and hearing their stories
  • naturally love grouping people with like interests to each other and opportunities
  • someone with lots of friends

Who you aren’t:

  • a Jewish scholar or expert
  • a Hillel organizer
  • a “Super Jew”
