Camp Kesem 2013: June 17 - 22
Camp Kesem is a free, overnight summer camp for children of cancer patients. Kids with parents who are cancer patients have their lives turned upside down when the family structure and routine are disrupted by the demands of the illness and treatment. Learn more about Camp Kesem at Stanford by watching our video below.
Whether the parent is currently in treatment, remission, or has died from cancer, Camp Kesem provides these children with a safe place to just be kids again and have fun away from the stresses of everyday life. The camp offers a network of kids with similar experiences with whom they can share their thoughts and feelings.
Stanford students apply in droves to be involved with this very special camp. Counselors and coordinators receive extensive leadership training as they work together to provide needed attention, to boost campers self-esteem and to help them thrive.
Donate now to support our efforts to provide this wonderful service for our campers and their families.
