Application Timeline (Full-time Programs)
October 2012
The EE department strongly recommends that all tests (GRE and TOEFL) be taken early in the fall to ensure a timely submission, as there is often a delay from the time the test is taken to the time scores are received. We strongly suggest that all tests be taken no later than three (3) weeks prior to the deadline.
December 18, 2012
Application deadline for our full-time Ph.D., M.S., & Engineer's degree programs. Applications and all supporting materials (this includes all test scores) must be post-marked by December 18, 2012 in order to be considered for admission and financial aid to our full-time programs.
Week of March 4, 2013
The second week in March is the target date to have all admission decisions finalized and communicated. All admission decisions will be communicated via email. We will not provide admission decisions over the phone.
April 15, 2013
Deadline to respond to all offers of admission via Axess, including offers with funding.
May 2013
Deadline to apply for housing using the Stanford online registration system. Please visit the Graduate Housing office website for a list of their application deadlines.
September 2013
New Student Orientation. More information on this event will be sent to newly admitted students via email throughout the summer.

Application Timeline (Reinstatements)
Applications from U.S. citizens/permanent residents are due three (3) weeks prior to the first day of the quarter of re-enrollment. Applications from international students are due five (5) weeks prior to the first day of the quarter of re-enrollment. Start dates for each quarter may be found on the Academic Calendar. Please allow 1-2 weeks after submitting your application for a decision.
