School of Medicine Centennial Party
A lunchtime barbecue commemorating the School of Medicine's 100th anniversary drew nearly 2,000 faculty, staff and students to the Dean's Lawn on April 23. For information on future Centennial events, see the Centennial Web site.

Scores of items were contributed for a time capsule that will be opened in 2108 for the school's bicentennial. Among the items were pipetters, a cancer survivor candle, books, a Barack Obama election pin, T-shirts, copies of medical school publications and several letters containing messages for the future.
