Community

Cultivating and maintaining relationships to support personal, intellectual, and professional growth

During their year on campus, Sloan Fellows are part of an exciting network that includes the entire Stanford University community. At the end of the Sloan year, the relationships continue through an alumni network of some 1,700 Sloans and 25,000 other GSB alumni around the world -- plus ties with faculty members, students in other programs, and other connections through the year.

Experience

  • The Sloan Fellows are an accomplished group of leaders who represent a diverse mix of cultures, world perspectives, functional expertise, and organizational experience. They enrich both classroom and informal discussions by contributing their differing points of view.
  • Sloan partners and families are active members of the Sloan community. The Sloan experience can create lifelong friendships and professional relationships for both Fellows and their partners.
  • Most activities at the Business School are open to Sloan Fellows who may take part in student-organized conferences, volunteer programs, extracurricular activities, and events held elsewhere on the Stanford campus.
  • Most Sloan Fellows live on the Stanford campus, within walking or bicycling distance of classes, libraries, and University activities.
