MBA Student Association (SA)

The MBA Student Association is the elected student body government that acts as a liaison with the school administration and faculty. The Association is composed of a board of directors (the Senate) and several standing committees. [Email senateATstanford.edu]

Phd Student Association

The PhD Student Association is the elected student body government that acts as a liaison with the school administration and faculty. The Association is composed of a President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Social Chair. The PhD Student Association works to enrich the quality of social and academic life for doctoral students in Stanford's Graduate School of Business.

Africa Business Club (ABC)

The Africa Business Club's purpose is to raise awareness of African business and cultures; promote discussion of economic, political and social issues in Africa; encourage the School to seek more students from Africa; provide a platform for students interested in careers in Africa to meet with employers; and encourage development of case studies. Arts, Media and Entertainment (AME)

The Arts, Media & Entertainment Club strives to increase awareness in the arts, media and entertainment (AME) arenas through education and professional opportunities, network-building with alumni and industry representatives, and showcasing the creative talent and artistic diversity within the GSB community. Asian Society

The Asian Society seeks to promote social networking opportunities among students of Asian origin or descent, as well as those students who are interested in Asian culture. [Email

Basketball Club

The Basketball Club aims to enrich the student community at the GSB by creating a positive basketball community—composed of a diverse group of students within the GSB.

Black Business Student Association (BBSA)

The Black Business Student Association serves as a support network for Black MBA, PhD and Sloan students at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Big Ideas Club

The Big Ideas Club is a community of enthusiasts who are passionate about TED (Technology, Entertainment, and Design) content and conferences. The club facilitates the spread of new ideas and encourages dialogue about those ideas. Events include periodic "TED Chats" featuring online TED videos and group discussions. Brewers Guild

The GSB Brewers Guild is open to a wide spectrum of students with interest in brewing and the beer industry. Catholic Students Association (CSA)

The Catholic Student Association is committed to fostering a spiritual element within the GSB. CSA coordinates religious and social interaction amongst GSB Catholics, extending from weekly mass and prayer sessions, to BBQs, talks and other social events. Challenge for Charity (C4C)

Challenge for Charity is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1984 by a GSB student whose sister had Down's Syndrome. Its mission is to encourage philanthropic involvement and school unity through a competition of nine West Coast business schools, primarily to benefit Special Olympics as well as one other local charity for each school. The volunteering and fundraising efforts culminate at C4C Weekend, where the nine schools compete in a sports competition held each spring at Stanford. [Email GSB_c4c-eadershipATstanford.ed]

Christians in Business (CIB)

Christians in Business provides a forum for people interested in Christianity to discuss and debate religious issues and build community through social events and activities. [Email GSB_ChristiansinBusiness-LeadershipATstanford.edu]

Education Club

The Education Club engages Stanford business and education school students in discussion about education issues, their role in education, and business' role in education. The club grew out of the 1994-95 Public Management Initiative on Education. [Email GSB_education club-leadershipATstanford.edu]

Energy Club

The club seeks to become the center for energy-related interactions at the GSB by bringing together students, faculty members, and guests to explore issues impacting the oil and gas, wind energy, solar energy, fuel cell and power sectors, as well as energy security and the environment. Entrepreneur Club (E-Club)

The Entrepreneur Club provides exposure to mentorship and networking opportunities with outside business owners and builds relationships between the GSB and the entrepreneurial community in Silicon Valley. [Email GSB_entrepreneurclub-leadershipATstanford.edu]

Epicureans @ the GSB (E@T)

Europe Club

The Europe Club is the link between the business community of Europe and GSB students. It also represents an important social platform for the diverse European student body and others interested in European culture. [Email GSB_europeclub-leadershipATstanford.edu]

Finance and Investment Club

The Finance & Investment Club provides its members with a forum to explore and learn about various aspects of the financial world. A primary club activity is the management of a $150,000 portfolio that is part of the Business School's endowment. [Email GSB_FIC-leadershipATstanford.edu]

Food and Agriculture Resource Management Club (FARM)

The Food and Agriculture Resource Management (FARM) Club serves to advance the career and educational interests of the GSB community in topics related to food and agriculture. FARM also facilitates cross-disciplinary engagement on topics of agriculture with relevant Stanford clubs and academic departments. Golf Club

Government and Politics Club

The club's mission is to provide a non-partisan forum to discuss government and political issues, bring government officials to campus as speakers, and offer opportunities to meet with government officials in California and elsewhere. [Email GSB_gpc-leadershipATstanford.edu]

Greater China Business Club (GCBC)

The Greater China Business Club is an exchange for GSB and non-GSB students who are interested in business in the Greater China region: Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong. GSB Band

The GSB Band's purpose is to present an opportunity for musically-inclined GSB students to perform; to provide ongoing entertainment in musical form; and to act, through creative expression, as social and political commentators on life at the GSB. [Email gsb_band-leadershipATstanford.edu]

GSB Dogs

GSB Dogs is a club for GSB dogs, dog owners, and dog lovers. The club sponsors a quarterly off-leash dog party where GSBers get to meet the "dogs behind the students." The club also facilitates dog-sitting arrangements. [Email GSB_Dogs-LeadershipATstanford.edu]

GSB Gives Back

GSB Gives Back is an independent, student-led organization responsible for holding the GSB's largest annual school-wide charity event, the Charity Auction. Now in its 20th year, the GSB Gives Back Charity Auction is one of the major student events. Proceeds are donated to organizations chosen by the auction team and the student body.

GSB Pride

GSB Pride is a social and socially active organization for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered students at the GSB. The goals are to provide a community for LGBT students; to serve as a resource for our membership and the Stanford GSB Community as a whole; and to increase awareness of LGBT issues in business. GSB Reporter

GSB Reporter creates and publishes the school newspaper, The Stanford Business Reporter. [Email GSB_reporterATstanford.edu]

GSB Show

The annual GSB show is a long-standing tradition at Stanford. It is entirely student-written and student-run, consisting of videos, skits, and hilarious song and dance numbers, all designed to bring a bit of humor and wit to all. [Email gsb_show-leadershipATstanford.edu]

Health & Wellness Association

The Association is a forum for all students who possess a long-term interest in the health and fitness industry. The mission is two-fold: (1) to build a network for those interested in launching careers in this very early-stage, rapid-growth industry by facilitating communication and creating forums for sharing ideas, experiences, and contacts and (2) to increase learning and awareness of the benefits of health and fitness by providing educational speakers and events at the GSB and publicizing events taking place in the broader community. Health Care Club

High Tech Club

Hispanic Business Student Association (HBSA)

The Hispanic Business Student Association (HBSA) is a community of students of Latino heritage whose goal is to increase interaction with alumni, undergraduates, and students in other graduate programs at Stanford; foster professional and personal development; and encourage leadership, both within the GSB and in the greater Latino community. I Have a Dream (IHAD)

More than 10 years ago, a dedicated group started I Have a Dream (IHAD), a unique mentoring and tutoring program for students in East Palo Alto. Jewish Business Student Association (JBSA)

The mission of the Jewish Business Student Association is to provide a welcoming Jewish community for all GSB students and their significant others. [Email GSB_jbsa-leadershipATstanford.edu]

Latin American Student Association

The goal of the Latin American Student Association is to strengthen bonds among the Latin community at the GSB and all those interested in it, while increasing awareness of Latin issues. To fulfill its end, LASA organizes parties, barbecues and other social gatherings, speakers series, career development activities, and academic related events. Management Consulting Club

Marketing Club

Middle East and North Africa Club (MENA)

Outdoor Adventures Club (OA)

The OA Club sponsors outdoor adventures year round, and kicks off fall term annually with an array of trips that remain a favorite tradition among students on their way into this wild new environment. Led by charismatic second year MBAs that specialize in having a good time and facilitating high energy group fun, the trips sample the myriad outdoor adventure options the great state of California offers. Private Equity Club (PE)

Product Design and Manufacturing Club (PDMC)

The Product Design & Manufacturing Club is for those who appreciate the importance of creation. The club provides opportunities to learn more about how designers and inventors create everyday products to make our lives easier.

Real Estate Club

The Real Estate Club focuses on the buildings, spaces and communities where people live, work, and play. Finance, economics, legal and regulatory procedures, architecture and design, and urban planning are topics that may be covered. [Email gsb_realestateclub-leadershipATstanford.edu]

Retail Club

The Retail Club is designed for students interested in learning about or pursuing a career in the retail industry. The club has a broad industry and functional reach. Events throughout the year promote learning in both the "bricks and mortar" and e-commerce sales channels. Rugby Club

Rugby Club is for anyone interested in the game of rugby. They offer weekly practices and scrimmages in the fall and winter in preparation for the culmination of the season: the World MBA Rugby Championships held at Duke University. [Email V]

Sales Club

The GSB Sales Club's purpose is to teach students this business skill through a myriad of club activities. Our goal is to provide our members with tools, and more importantly the confidence to sell themselves, their ideas and products/services to anyone, anywhere. Ski and Snowboard Club

Soccer Club

Social Innovation Club

The Social Innovation Club serves GSB students interested in exploring innovative ways to tackle the world’s most pressing social challenges and improving livelihoods for low-income populations domestically and internationally. South Asian Students Association (SASA)

Sports Management Club

The Sports Management Club provides opportunities to meet with key businesspeople in the world of athletics. Sustainable Business Club (SBC)

The Sustainable Business Club connects students with business, technology, and policy leaders in fields such as sustainable services, clean energy, water resources, and climate change. Texas Club

Travel and Hospitality Club

The Travel and Hospitality Club seeks to become the center for travel and hospitality-related interactions at the GSB. We aim to bring together students, faculty members, alumni, and guests to explore issues related to all areas of leisure and business travel. The club focuses on career and professional development, education about the travel and hospitality sectors, and provides opportunities for networking and social events. Venture Capital Club (VC)

The Venture Capital Club sponsors a variety of group events with venture capitalists and entrepreneurs, including small group dinners, speaker presentations, workshops, and other social events. Veterans Club

The Veterans Club is the School's association of military veterans. The club is open to all GSB students and attempts to relate the unique experiences of military service to current events and business problems that managers are likely to encounter, including strategic, human resources, and operational issues. The club serves as resource for members to foster professional and personal development while encouraging leadership, both within the GSB and in the greater business community. Wine Circle

Women in Management (WIM)

The purpose of BizKids is to provide GSB families with a friendly and supportive community. We strive to connect these families by offering fun and educational activities for kids and their parents to enjoy together.

BizPartners

Administrative Committees

Board Fellows

Founded by students in 1997, the Board Fellows program prepares Stanford MBAs for responsible community leadership by providing apprenticeships with Bay Area nonprofit boards. 

Global Management Immersion Experience Ambassadors (GMIX)

GMIX Ambassadors are a conduit for communicating student views, suggestions, and constructive feedback. They help students understand the program by providing advice, answering common questions, and referring students to relevant resources.

Leadership Perspectives Committee

The student leaders of the Committee are responsible for identifying and recruiting speakers, serving as class liaisons, and facilitating discussions for " Leadership Perspectives," a 4-unit elective which explores the principles and practices by which leaders institutionalize particular values within the organizations they lead.

MBA Admissions Ambassadors Program

The MBA Admissions Ambassadors (MAAP) function as an extension of the MBA Admissions Office in their recruitment and outreach efforts. Volunteers serve in various roles throughout the academic year, including serving on an information session panel, hosting dinners on breaks and executing two different Admit Weekends for over 400 admitted students.

Personal Side of Leadership Committee

The Personal Side of Leadership Committee provides students with a forum to explore how to lead a life that is both internally and externally satisfying. The Committee is responsible for inviting leaders and students, and for programmatic logistics.

Public Management Initiative (PMI)

The Public Management Initiative (PMI) allows GSB students to execute an in-depth exploration of a specific public management topic each academic year. Students collaborate to choose the PMI topic around which they build a program that includes independent academic study, campus-wide activities, panel discussions, workshops, case studies, and community service projects.

Public Management Program (PMP) Executive Committee

The PMP offers a comprehensive approach to public management education through academic, co-curricular, and extra-curricular opportunities. This program prepares students to assume community leadership roles throughout their careers and to improve the effectiveness of public organizations. The Committee helps organize community activities, retreats, speakers, conferences, and social events.

Stanford Management Internship Fund (SMIF)

The Stanford Management Internship Fund is dedicated to providing high quality management skills to nonprofit and public organizations by encouraging Stanford MBAs to pursue summer internships in those sectors. Over the past twenty years, SMIF has funded over 200 internships in almost 150 organizations.

View from the Top (VFTT)

View from the Top (VFTT) is the premier speaker series at the Stanford Business School. Each year, the series brings leaders from a variety of industries to campus to discuss their business and leadership philosophies with students.
