Subawards
Stanford University is responsible for the programmatic and financial monitoring of its sponsored research subawards. A subaward is a third-party organization performing a portion of Stanford research project or other sponsored programs. The terms of Stanford-subaward relationships are documented in Research Policy Handbook 3.7.
These guidelines and procedures are provided to assist responsible faculty and staff in ensuring that subawards are conducted in compliance with laws, regulations and terms and conditions of prime awards and that project costs incurred by subawards are reasonable and allowable.
If you have a question about a subaward, contact your OSR Contract and Grant Officer.
