David Malpica

David Malpica is currently a graduate student in Stanford University's Learning, Design and Technology program. His goal is to change the world through educational games. In the past, he has been a 3D computer graphics artist and designer with over a decade of design education and professional experience. Besides doing freelance work for various Bay Area clients in award winning bio-medical animation and product visualization, he has explored the educational world through teaching at tech camps and personal tutoring.David is the proud son of a Colombian-American couple and grew up in Bogotá, where he studied computer science, graphic and industrial design. In 2004 David left everything he knew behind and moved to San Francisco to pursue an education in Game Art and Design at the Art Institute of California. He is also a proud and educated Hispanic-American, an avid PC gamer, board and card gamer, cyclist, futbol goal-keeper, a fan of anything and everything artistic, and a Tai-Chi wannabe. David currently resides in Redwood City, a warm and prosperous town whose motto is “Climate Best by Government Test”.
