Kappa Alpha is a fraternity house that is located at 664 Lomita Ct. The house set up is with 22 doubles, 2 singles, and 4 triples. Also, this past year housing has allowed us to turn our game room into a single room which is shared by 2 residents. It is located in the basement near the kitchen. All the rooms except the three singles are two rooms that share a door to the hallway. The House Manager and RA get the two singles and all other managers get an extra housing point to be put towards the in house draw. The house has two stories and is situated with 6 pods, 3 pods per floor and 4 rooms per pod. Each pod shares a bathroom and there is a spacious lounge area as well as a downstairs open kitchen. The kitchen is filled with snacks twice a week and there is an amazing chef that cooks lunch and dinner Monday through Friday. There is breakfast food, but it is not prepared by the chef. The social events that the house has are typically 2 all-campus parties, 1 formal, and 3 or 4 progressives with sororities per quarter. The general atmosphere is very laid-back and social. Residents often walk around and hang out in other residents’ rooms.
