Undergraduate Fellowships Program

SURPS

The Undergraduate Fellowships Program offers resources for Stanford undergraduates who wish to make contributions to public service organizations and communities. Depending on the fellowship, fellows can participate in either prearranged placements or self-designed fellowship opportunities in both domestic and international settings. See the Fellowships List to the right for more information.

Through this service-learning program, students learn to apply classroom knowledge in a professional setting. Program staff offer a two-unit field preparatory course, workshops, and individual consultation to prepare students for their summer work. Upon their return, students meet with staff to debrief, reflect on their experiences, and consider follow-up activities and coursework.

Please note that Haas Center staff do not necessarily have direct experience with, nor do we professionally endorse, partner organizations.

Former fellows are an excellent resource for peer advising. Contact a peer advisor for more information.

Note: If you are a graduating senior, you are eligible for both undergraduate fellowships and postgraduate fellowship opportunities, although you cannot be awarded both.
