Patient Care
As part of a world-renowned university teaching hospital, Stanford psychiatrists treat a broad range of disorders in a supportive environment that respects the safety, dignity and confidentiality of every patient. The Inpatient Psychiatry Unit offers leading-edge consultation and therapies delivered by a multidisciplinary team of healthcare experts, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, occupational and physical therapists, social workers and case managers. Outpatient services are also available through specialty clinics that cover a range of disorders affecting patients of all ages. As academic clinicians, our faculty members conduct research into the origins of anxiety, bipolar affective disorder, depression, schizophrenia, sleep disorders and other psychiatric concerns. Translating their findings into new diagnostic and therapies, they are committed to advancing patient care.
