With educational opportunities for MD, PhD, combined degree, resident and postdoctoral candidates, the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences provides individuals with a solid foundation in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of all major psychiatric disorders and related medical and neurological disorders. Committed to training the next generation of leaders in the field of mental health, our faculty strives to equip individuals with the skills for lifelong learning and a framework for translating the latest research into patient care. Faculty members also share their expertise with the larger biomedical community through Continuing Medical Education courses, symposiums and their active participation in national and international organizations.
