Selection Process
Every two-and-a-half years, four new trustees are identified and nominated for a five-year term through a selection process administered by the Stanford Alumni Association on behalf of Stanford's alumni.
Trustee nominations are now closed. Stanford's Alumni Committee on Trustee Nominations (ACTN) is reviewing all applications submitted by April 30, 2012. Four extraordinary alumni leaders will be selected to serve at the University's highest level of service.
The selection process is comprised of three rounds, each narrowing the applicant pool. Applicants who advance through all three rounds will have completed two written applications and an in-person interview. The selection process concludes in February 2013.
New trustees will take office in March 2013.
