Factiva has a whole new way to search
Factiva Search 2.0 Beta

Click on the tab "Factiva Search 2.0 Beta" and try out the new search engine. The new interface looks much like our web search site. Type in a few words or phrases in the search box and then hit search icon. The results are divided into two panes, the discovery pane and the article pane.

The discovery pane on the right sorts results into categories so the user can see what is going on with the search.

  • The graph shows you the peaks and valleys for news coverage of your search term.
  • Companies shows you the top five companies mentioned around your search.
  • Industries shows you the top five industries mentioned around your search

Sources shows you the top five publications included
in your search.

  • The article pane presents the results via three tabs.
  • Publications (divided into wires, newspapers, and magazines)
  • Web news (gathered by Factiva's proprietary Web crawling)
  • Picture or images

Try searching your favorite company, school (Stanford) or book. You will find the results interesting.
