SMYSP Stanford Medical Youth Science Program

Health Careers: Make it Happen!

Health Careers: Make it Happen! contains vignettes of six ethnically diverse professionals who describe their careers, educational paths, and reflections about health disparities relevant to low-income communities.

This 20-minute video was created in response to requests from the Stanford Medical Youth Science Program (SMYSP) partner teachers and their students who were interested in learning more about the careers of health and science professionals. Many of the students are from low-income and underrepresented backgrounds and lack the opportunity to engage with minority health and science professionals.

The video is available in a compilation, or as individual clips.
