Adam Gorlick is FSI’s communications manager. Prior to joining FSI in September 2011, he was the social sciences writer at the Stanford News Service.

Gorlick reported for The Associated Press for a decade before coming to Stanford. As the AP’s correspondent in Massachusetts, he specialized in covering political corruption and organized crime, rural and urban poverty, homelessness, and child welfare issues. He was involved in covering the Roman Catholic church’s sex abuse scandal, one of the country’s deadliest nightclub fires, and two presidential elections.

He also served as a congressional reporter for the AP in Washington, D.C., and as a legislative reporter in Connecticut.

His work has appeared on CNN and MSNBC and in The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, and many other newspapers and news websites.

Gorlick has also covered federal courts, education, agriculture, religion and the arts for newspapers in Connecticut, North Carolina, Massachusetts and California.

Gorlick was a guest lecturer in the journalism and political science departments at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. A native of New Haven, Conn., he holds a bachelor's degree from Clark University.
