Stanford Center at Peking University

The Stanford Center at Peking University (SCPKU) is the university’s headquarters for students and faculty interested in research, teaching, training and outreach activities in China. As the first U.S. university to have a permanent, dedicated structure on a Chinese university campus, Stanford breaks new ground in U.S.-Sino cooperation. SCPKU is located on the Beijing Daxue campus in China’s capital and is anchored by several well-established Stanford programs, including the Bing Overseas Studies Program. The Center is designed as a resource for the entire Stanford community, providing infrastructure support and key services for ongoing and periodic activities in the region and playing host to Stanford-sponsored international conferences and workshops.
SCPKU is expected to become a focal point for building academic and educational networks throughout East Asia, bringing together established researchers and a new generation of young scholars to create a vibrant and dynamic hub of intellectual exchange and collaboration.
