Description:

Visit Montmartre, the highest point in Paris and the charming district that Matisse, van Gogh, Picasso and many other French impressionist painters called home. Tour the opulent Palais Garnier with a professor of theater and art from the famous Universite Paris 8. Enjoy a lecture on impressionistic art by the director of Stanford in Paris, Estelle Halevi. View Monet’s spectacular Water Lilies series at the Musee de l’Orangerie, which also features works by Renoir and Cezanne. From our boutique hotel in the heart of the Latin Quarter spend afternoons and evenings exploring Paris at leisure, with our local hosts ready to help with details. Optional post-trip extension to Aix-en-Provence.
