What the Pharmacy Offers
- Emergency Contraception (Plan B)
- Full prescription services
- Internet refill request
- Individualized medication counseling and a medication history database
- Advice about over-the-counter medications
- Over-the-counter items including allergy, cold and pain medications, moisturizers, condoms, thermometers and pill splitters
Fees
Vaden fees are often lower than community pharmacies, especially for oral contraceptives. For students with Cardinal Care health insurance, a co-payment is required at the time of service. Students with other insurance coverage will be charged at the time of service and can check with their insurance provider about reimbursement. For noninsurance pricing contact the pharmacy to obtain current prices. We accept cash, checks, VISA and MasterCard.
Refills
A web based refill request option is at Internet Refill Request. A refill hotline is also available at 650-498-2336, extension 3. For prompt service, call at least one hour prior to anticipated pick-up time and leave the following information:
- Patients name
- Prescription (Rx) number (if you don't have the Rx number, leave the name of the medication)
- Any change in quantity from the last refill
- Daytime phone number where you can be reached
- Approximate day and time of pick-up
Out-of-Area Prescriptions
We accept out-of-area prescriptions. To transfer a prescription refill from an out-of-area pharmacy, call and leave the following information:
- Patient name
- Name and phone number of the pharmacy that has the prescription
- Prescription (Rx) number (if you do not have the Rx number, leave the name of the medication)
- Daytime phone number where you can be reached
