What is STVP?
Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, the Stanford Technology Ventures Program (STVP) is the entrepreneurship center at Stanford University's School of Engineering. STVP is hosted by the department of Management Science and Engineering.
What is the mission of STVP?
STVP's mission is dedicated to accelerating high-technology entrepreneurship education and creating scholarly research on technology-based firms that, in turn, provides new insights for students, scholars, and business leaders.
Who is on the STVP team?
STVP is made up of entrepreneurship educators, faculty, and staff. For a complete listing, visit our faculty and staff page.
Which websites does STVP manage?
STVP administers the STVP homepage (stvp.stanford.edu) and pages dedicated to Entrepreneurship Corner (ecorner.stanford.edu), Entrepreneurship Week (eweek.stanford.edu), Roundtable on Entrepreneurship Education (ree.stanford.edu), and the Stanford Entrepreneurship Network (sen.stanford.edu).
Is STVP affiliated with Stanford?
Yes. Stanford Technology Ventures Program is part of the Management Science and Engineering Department in the School of Engineering at Stanford.
Can I post a job on your website?
No. We cannot post jobs on our website. Please visit our Doctoral Students On the Job Market page, current Mayfield Fellows page, or Mayfield Fellows Alumni pages if you are seeking employees. To host a Mayfield Fellows Program intern, visit the employee application page.
Can my entrepreneurship group tour/visit STVP?
STVP does not currently have the capacity to receive tour groups. If you are visiting Stanford, please consider taking a free campus tour or attending a free ETL lecture. See our Get Involved section for more ideas.
Can I be a speaker at an event or a participant with Coaches on Call?
If you are interested in being a speaker at ETL, please contact BASES. If you are interested in participating in Coaches on Call, contact Belen Torres-Gil.
How do I apply for a Degree (Undergrad, Masters, Phd)?

Does STVP offer internships?
STVP does not currently provide internships but may do so in the future.
Can we link to your page? Will STVP participate in a link exchange with us?
You are welcome to link to STVP but we do not participate in link exchanges or link sharing.
Can you refer me to a local business or service provider?
No, we do not make business recommendations.
Can I send a message to students? Can I add my marketing and promotional materials to your packet?
No, we cannot send marketing material to students, faculty, or staff.
Can you give me information about students?
No, we take the privacy of students seriously and cannot divulge any more information than is already on our website.
Can I pitch my business idea to you and get feedback?
No, unfortunately, we are not a venture capital firm and cannot coach you on your business plan. Stanford University students may be eligible to participate in the VC/Student Speed Dating event or the Coaches on Call program.
