Damali supports the Associate Director for External Relations, Suzanne Abel, and works collaboratively with the other members of the external relations team. She is the center’s stewardship officer, with direct accountability to the university, and manages stewardship for the center’s programs and funds. She also coordinates gift processing, data management, and annual appeal activities for the Haas Center.

Prior to coming to Stanford, Damali taught the Fundamentals of Communication, an introductory writing and language arts course, at the University of Technology in Kingston, Jamaica. She also completed a Master of Arts degree in Communication for Social and Behavior Change in 2006. Her master’s thesis examined the use of communication and entertainment education in ending violence against women in Jamaica, and she presented this research at UNICEF’s Caribbean Child Research Conference (Kingston, Jamaica, 2006) and the First International Conference on Child Sexual Abuse in Africa (Nairobi; Kenya, 2007).

In her free time, Damali writes poetry, short stories, and blogs.
