Library Access

The Robert Crown Law Library at Stanford Law School is a friendly, comfortable, and well-equipped legal research library that supports the curriculum, programs and clinics of the law school.

The law library has a print collection of over 500,000 books along with millions of pages of online documents. The Robert Crown Law Library welcomes Stanford students, faculty, and staff to delve into its rich collection and turn to the Library's service-oriented staff for help with their research needs.

SLS Alumni

Stanford Law alumni/alumnae are always welcome to use the law library. If you are an alumnus or alumna and would like to obtain a special alumni library card, please fill out the online form or contact us at [email protected]. Please provide us with your name as you'd like it to appear on the card, your mailing address and your class year.

Attorney Fee Access

Attorneys may use the Library on a fee basis.

Starting in the spring of 2013 the law library will be part of a major building renovation. During the lengthy construction period parts of the library and its collection will be unavailable. There will be construction noise and other disruptions as well.
