Robert Daines' research examines the relationship between law, finance and corporate governance. His recent work has focused on CEO pay, mandatory disclosure regulation, and takeover defenses in public firms.
Bio
Robert Daines is the Pritzker Professor of Law and Business and the codirector of the Rock Center for Corporate Governance. Before moving to Stanford in 2004, he taught at New York University Law School and Yale Law School, and was an associate in the leveraged finance department of Goldman, Sachs & Co. His current research focuses on the impact of regulation on firm value and investor protection.
