Professor Aoki is the Henri and Tomoye Professor of Japanese Studies and Professor of Economics. He is also the Director-General of the Research Institute of the Misnistry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), Government of Japan (part-time) His research interests include: comparative institutional analysis, corporate governance, and the Japanese economy.
