February Student of the Month - Raylene Poppino

Raylene Poppino

 


 

Raylene is a senior majoring in Public Policy with a concentration in Education. She fell in love with education policy while working on a PI Task Force during high school in her hometown of Oakley, CA. Raylene loves the policy field and has spent her past summers interning for the City of Oakley's City Manager, the Governor of California's Special Advisor for Job Growth and Economic Development, and the U.S. Department of Education. She has thoroughly enjoyed her time at Stanford and has become an active member of the Stanford Cheer Team, Delta Delta Delta Sorority, and the Latter-Day Saint Student Association. Raylene is also minoring in Spanish and has participated in the Bing Overseas Study Program - Madrid and Stanford in Washington.  Her favorite class while at Stanford was MS&E 180: Organizations, Theory and Management with Kathy Eisenhart.  After graduation she plans to begin working and later return to school to pursue her doctorate in Educational Leadership.
