Wie bonds with Obama
“the white house was AMAZING yesterday. meeting pres obama was one of the coolest things EVER!!” tweeted MICHELLE WIE, who met the president during a visit with the Solheim Cup women’s golf team earlier this week. “He’s a total local boy!” The president and the Stanford junior bonded over their home state of Hawaii and their shared high school alma mater, the Punahou School. The Solheim Cup is a biennial golf tournament for professional women golfers contested by teams representing Europe and the United States. The USA Team won the cup in 2009.

Several of my pals right here and on the other board know that my two children go to private school and realize that I’m an advocate for good colleges whether they’re private or public. The children went to a good public center college thankfully, so the transition to private college isn’t as stark, but I should say private school has been a wonderful experience. Now I understand why the lucky maintain their great fortune - its incredible. Gettingadmitted to independent school is no simple job although, and if you’re severe about it you had better be prepared. You will need to take the ISEE test or the SecondarySchool Admission Test, and go via an interview with a number of members of the employees. I can tell you from expertise and from conversations with many other mother and father, this could be probably the most stressful period in your existence. So you can envision how tough it’s on the kids, and if circumstances like this construct character, they may have fantastic foundation.
