In fall 2006 and 2007, Liberation Curriculum partnered with All Stars Helping Kids in sponsoring a PSA contest for San Francisco Bay Area juniors and seniors. The resulting videos are available online.

Modern efforts towards peace and social justice create paradigm shifts in how we view existing societal norms and systems.
The Liberation Curriculum (LC) initiative developed a high school curriculum and biographies to accompany the Remember Them: Champions of Humanity monument featuring 25 humanitarians, created by Oakland sculptor Mario Chiodo. View the accompanying instructional video illustrating the teaching of the curriculum in East Oakland School of the Arts.
California teachers selected to participate in the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) funded King Digital History Project created model lesson plans on Dr. King and the African-American freedom struggle, using the King Institute's documentary resources and professional development training.

Communities
Join the Gandhi-King Community for Global Peace with Social Justice in a Sustainable Environment, a social network founded by Dr. Clayborne Carson for individuals interested in peace and social justice. It provides an area for community leaders to meet, share ideas, and work together to create a better world.
Once you are a member, you can also join the Liberation Community group of social justice educators interested in learning about LC resources and events. If you are a King Digital History Project (KDHP) teacher, be sure to join the King Digital History Project group.
Partnerships
Liberation Curriculum conducts professional development workshops for teachers enrolled in ‘Words That Made America’ (WTMA), managed by Alameda County Office of Education (ACOE) and funded by a Teaching American History (TAH) grant.
