E-IPER students bring diverse academic, professional, and life experiences to create a vibrant intellectual and social community. Students come from over ten countries, have diverse undergraduate degrees, ranging from English literature to economics to environmental engineering, and varied professional experiences from positions at the United Nations and governments, the World Bank, Natural Resources Defense Council, the World Resources Institute, Exxon Mobil, and other influential NGOs and businesses.
