We are here to help

You were admitted to a Stanford graduate program because of your academic talent and promise as a researcher and scholar.  Now that you are here, the Office of Graduate and Undergraduate Studies wants to help you succeed.  If you are ever in the Main Quad, please feel free to drop by our office on the second floor of Building One.  We are here to support you.  If we can’t answer your questions, we will help you find someone that can.

HUMSCI 201: Graduate Environment of Support is a 1-unit seminar that introduces first year graduate students to the academic, psychosocial, financial, and career issues that may impact your graduate career and introduce you to critical campus resources .

Graduate Student Involvement in Diversity Recruitment

You, our current graduate students, are our best ambassadors.  We encourage you to take the time during your busy graduate career to encourage undergraduates both here at Stanford and elsewhere to consider a graduate degree. With your example and assistance, we can work together to increase the diversity of the graduate student population and the academy. We encourage current graduate students to become involved in recruitment including: attending conferences/graduate school fairs representing Stanford and contacting prospective students.
