Club Leader Resources

Welcome to the Stanford Club Leader Resources web page! This page contains nearly everything you need to know about starting or running an official Stanford alumni club or alumni-created group, holding events, maintaining membership, and accessing and using our web-based tools for club leaders.

Getting started

Any Stanford alum with drive, dedication and a wish to connect with the Stanford family may create a group based on location, current interests, or activities while at Stanford. If your group wishes to take in fees online, accept non-alumni as members, or be marked as "official" under the Stanford Alumni Association umbrella, you may wish to charter an official club. Official clubs require more paperwork than groups and can only be created by alumni association staff members. If you think you might want to start an official club, please contact a member of the Alumni Communities team.

Managing your club online

Official clubs and alumni-created groups (ACGs) have some great tools available. Designated club leaders may access most of these tools by logging in at alumni.stanford.edu, visiting the My Groups page and clicking "edit" next to their group.

Here are guides to everything you need to know about setting up events, using your membership module and emailing your club members.

Web Events Modules

You can now access your web event module via your club or group page. Go to your group homepage and click on the "manage group" link under the group actions menu to enable your event module. Step-by-step instructions can be found in the online event setup guide.
