Anna Schuessler is a senior in Public Policy with a concentration in East Asian Foreign Policy. Her favorite class within the program is PP200B, the Senior Practicum. Working with her peers and the Silicon Valley Education Foundation to analyze the effects of a change in California state high school graduation standards has allowed her to see the practical implications of what she has been learning in the past four years. This year, she served as Co-President of the Stanford Habitat for Humanity chapter and as a staff writer with the Stanford Daily newspaper. As a junior she studied abroad in Oxford and was able to pursue her interests in English literature, completing a tutorial centered around the Mark Twain's work. An editorial internship last summer with The North Bay Bohemian newspaper inspired her to explore the world of journalism, which she will do next year as Chief Operating Officer of the Stanford Daily newspaper.
