The Department of Political Science is pleased to welcome Kenneth Scheve, Bruce Cain, and Kristi Olson to its faculty. Ken Scheve's research interests are in the fields of international and comparative political economy and comparative political behavior with particular interest in the behavioral foundations of the politics of economic policymaking. He comes to Stanford after previous positions at University of Michigan and Yale.  Bruce Cain comes to us from UC-Berkeley and will serve as Director Designate of the Bill Lane Center for the American West. His areas of expertise include political regulation, applied democratic theory, representation and state politics. Kristi Olson is a political theorist who recently received her Ph.D. from Harvard.
