Faculty Senate to discuss faculty gains and losses, status of women faculty, classroom scheduling on Thursday
Twenty-minute question-and-answer sessions will follow the presentations.
In its first meeting of winter quarter, the Faculty Senate will hear reports on faculty gains and losses and on the status of women faculty from Karen Cook, vice provost for faculty development and diversity at Stanford, and Hannah Valantine, senior associate dean for diversity and leadership at Stanford School of Medicine.
In addition, the senate will hear a report from Tom Black, university registrar, on managing classroom scheduling.
The senate meeting will begin at 3:15 p.m. in Room 180 of the Law School. Discussion is limited to members of the senate, but members of the Stanford community may request to attend the meeting by contacting the Academic Secretary's Office at 723-4992 or Trish Del Pozzo at [email protected].
