Ensemble Auditions

Audition signups for most ensembles are now closed. During the remainder of the year, contact the faculty member in charge of the ensemble for audition information and ensemble openings. You can find contacts for all of our ensembles here.

Lesson Auditions

Weekly lessons are given throughout the academic quarter. Audition signups for lessons are now open for Fall. Find more information regarding fees and audition schedules for each specific instrument here.

• All lessons within the Department incur lesson fees. Fees for individual lessons are $325 per quarter for Music majors and $600 per quarter for non-majors. Fees for group lessons are $175 per quarter for Music majors and $200 per quarter for non-majors. These fees will be charged to your student bill.
• Financial support is available for students from the Friends of Music at Stanford. Contact the Department of Music office for more information about scholarships.
• Prospective students must demonstrate, by audition with the appropriate teacher, a minimum proficiency on their instrument to enroll in private instruction. You can review the minimum proficiency requirements for your specific instrument(s) below.
