Biography
Michelle Sonu joined Stanford Law School in September 2012 as the Staff Attorney in the Organizations and Transactions Clinic. Before coming to SLS, Sonu practiced at Cooley LLP in Palo Alto, California for over ten years, where she focused primarily on mergers and acquisitions as well as general corporate law and securities transactions for companies and investors in the technology and life sciences industries. She also worked as a staff attorney at IBM’s global headquarters in Armonk, New York. Sonu received her JD from Harvard Law School in 1999, where she served as Technical Editor of the Harvard Journal of Law and Technology. She earned her SB in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1996.
