During the academic year, we provide resources to undergraduate and graduate students for every stage of their academic career and for any kind of writing.

FROSH

If you're new to Stanford and to the Hume Writing Center, please see our information page for undergraduate  students. We work with freshmen on Thinking Matters and PWR 1 essays, as well as Intro Sem applications and assignments.

SOPHOMORES

If you're a returning sophomore, we can work with you on your PWR 2 or WRITE-2 essays, writing for any other courses, Intro Sem applications (Fall, Winter, and Spring), and grant applications. If you are giving PowerPoint presentations or working on digital media projects (websites, posters, or videos), we can help you make stronger visual and multimedia arguments as well.

JUNIORS

If you're a junior, we can work with you on your WiM or Honors projects, grant proposals, research poster design, and digital media projects like PowerPoint presentations and videos.  We have a special Honors Boot Camp program to get you jump started on your Honors writing.  Don't forget, we can also work with you on internship and study abroad applications!

SENIORS

And if you're a senior, we can also work with you on your WiM or Honors projects, digital media projects, research poster design, journal articles, as well as application letters and essays for jobs, graduate school, fellowships, and grants.

GRADUATE STUDENTS

We work with graduate students at all stages of their careers, on materials from seminar papers, conference papers, and articles, to fellowship applications, dissertation chapters, research statements, and job materials.
