Introduction

The aim of this resource guide is to provide Anthropology graduate and undergraduate students with information that will aid them in identifying and applying for grants and fellowships at a variety of stages in their academic careers. This guide, for the moment, focuses on directing students to common grant and fellowship sponsoring organizations both at Stanford and abroad. It is arranged in a simple format designed to allow students quick access to the information they need. To navigate through the guide simply use the links above.

This guide is, and will likely always be, a work in progress. Remember that grant/fellowship application requirements can and do change from year to year. As such, ALWAYS check the pages of funding sources for the latest information. The department is not responsible for the content or information provided.

Funding Opportunites for Dissertation Writing and Completion

Available to post-field research graduate students these programs are typically aimed at providing dissertation writers with financial support for one year in order to facilitate the completion of their dissertations. Specific prerequisites vary, but applicants are generally expected to have met all their graduate program requirements, except for submission of their dissertation("All But Dissertation - ABD"), in order to be eligible for funding.
