Laurie S. Hane, J.D., is Senior Director and Associate General Counsel at VMware, Inc.  Before joining VMware in 2011, she was a partner in the Technology Transactions Group at Morrison & Foerster LLP, where she spent 12 years handling IP and commercial transactions for companies in a wide range of industries.   Before focusing on a transactional practice, Laurie was a partner in the litigation department at Morrison & Foerster where she specialized in IP litigation.    Laurie received her J.D. from Northwestern University Law School and her B.A. from Knox College.   She clerked for the Hon. Robert F. Peckham, Chief Judge of the District Court for the Northern District of California.
