Stanford offers 2 application plans for freshmen: Restrictive Early Action or Regular Decision. Only you can know which option better meets your timeline and goals.

Freshman Requirements & Process

The requirements for freshman admission are explained via the links to the right. Applicants must submit all documents by November 1 (Restrictive Early Action) or January 1 (Regular Decision) to be considered.

Transfer Requirements & Process

Transfer admission to Stanford is more competitive than freshman admission. The requirements are explained in detail via the links to the right. Applicants must submit all documents by March 15 to be considered.

We do not have a separate application for international students. Please review the information for freshman or transfer applicants, as the same information applies to international students, with few exceptions.
