Applicants who have previously applied to Stanford and were not admitted or did not accept an offer of admission must submit:
- A new application and must pay the application fee
- Statement of Purpose
- Any additional department-required documents such as writing sample, resume/CV
- Transcripts
- Recommendations: If you are reapplying to the same program, you may contact the department to inquire if the letters are still on file. However, most departments do not retain outdated application material. Even if the department has the letters on file you must enter contact information for the recommenders who provided recommendations on your behalf. You will not be able to submit your application without entering information for at least three recommenders. Duplicating recommender contact information (entering a recommender name and/or email address more than once within an application) will negatively impact the ability for your department to consider your application.
