Visiting SLAC

SLAC welcomes thousands of visitors each year from around the world. In addition to hosting scientists who come to conduct research at our facilities, SLAC holds a variety of events, including public lectures, tours, and scientific conferences.
The SLAC campus is located on 426 acres of Stanford University property, about three miles west of the university campus. The main entrance to the facility is on Sand Hill Road, just east of Interstate 280.
All visitors must enter through the main gate off of Sand Hill Road. Stay in the left lane when turning from Sand Hill Road and stop at the guard house to present a valid, government-issued photo ID.
The Stanford Guest House, located on the SLAC campus, is the most convenient option for SLAC visitors. Surrounding communities also offer a wide range of hotels and residences.
