Employee Activity Groups

SLAC employees and users are encouraged to pursue their cultural, educational, social, and sports interests through official Laboratory sponsorship. Both on-site and off-site activity groups may be sponsored by the Human Resources Department. For additional information about sponsorship, call ext. 2358 or send email to the head of the Employee Relations department.

• SERA
  • The SLAC Emergency Relief Association (SERA) is an all-volunteer employee-managed group which provides employees with emergency loans and, sometimes, emergency grants. Membership requires a minimum of one dollar a month donation. Donations can be made by payroll deduction. The current Directors of SERA are John Schmerge (ext. 2320), Daphne Mitchell (ext. 5377) and John Escudero (ext. 2242).  The current Treasurer is Stephanie Carlson and Debbie Nicholson is the Secretary.
