EMILIE JACKSON ’13 IS A FINALIST in the EconSources.com Best Undergraduate Paper Competition

We are delighted to announce that recent Economics BA graduate, Emilie Jackson ‘13, has been selected as one of four finalists for the 9th annual EconSources.com Best Undergraduate Paper Competition that is sponsored by the International Atlantic Economic SocietyEmilie was also the recipient of the Stanford Department of Economics’ John G. Sobieski Award for Creative Thinking for her paper, The Efficiency of Wikipedia’s Evolution.

The 50 entries were from eight different countries.  The papers – with names, university, and country affiliations removed – were judged by a blind panel of 16 judges from the Canada, France, India, Korea, Portugal, Romania, Turkey, and the USA.

The final selection of the best paper will take place on Saturday, October 12, at the annual IAES conference in Philadelphia, USA, and will be judged by five additional judges.  Each of the four finalists will receive a handsome commemorative plaque, and the winner of the competition will receive a $500 check and have his or her paper published in the 2014 March or June issue of the Atlantic Economic Journal
