Help us congratulate the accomplishments of our community members at the 27th Annual Ernesto Galarza Commemorative Lecture & 12th Annual Chicano/Latino Community Awards Banquet.

Chicano/Latino Community Scholar Prize applications are available!

The Chicano/Latino Community Scholar Prize for Academic Excellence honors individual academic excellence and provides role models for the Mexican American/Chicano/Hispanic/Latino community at Stanford University.

Pedacito de Mi Corazon con Carmen Lomas Garza

El Centro is honored to have an artist of her stature share her time and talents with our comunidad. Please join us for a special two-hour event that includes a presentation of her works followed by a reflective workshop where we will create an original papel picado banderita that will be exhibited in El Centro throughout the quarter.

Cafecito Fridays

Join us for abuelita-style hot chocolate, Guatemalan coffee, and delectable pan dulce every Friday from 10:30AM to 11:30PM.

El Centro Mission

As a vibrant student center, El Centro Chicano works to support students academically, personally, socially, and culturally. We focus on creating mature, aware and socially responsible individuals who advocate and dialogue for equity and social justice.

Within the Chicano and Latino community there is great diversity of backgrounds, aspirations, and sociopolitical views which adds to the richness of our collective experience. El Centro’s programs provide Stanford students the opportunity to explore Chicano and Latino culture, history, and traditions.
